These pictures show Marilyn before she made it big. She wasn't the small-town Norma Jean, but she wasn't the Hollywood sex symbol either. The images were found in a New Jersey warehouse and were apparently taken by LIFE photographer Ed Clark . However, the images never ran in the magazine because the editor at the time had no idea who Marilyn Monroe was!
The backdrop of the photo shoot was Griffith Park in Los Angeles and they show Marilyn practicing some lines on a bench, leaning up against trees and standing on top of rocks. She looks sweet and innocent, but there is no denying her sultry beauty either. No one knows why the images were never published in the magazine after Marilyn hit the big time.
